Latest News and Updates...
Update!?!?!?
@ 2:44 p.m. 10:17 p.m. 29/01/2008
First update in nine months! Well I added a new affiliate...
Almost on Time!
@ 2:44 p.m. 21/04/2007
Wow! I said I was going to release Paper Cuts on the 20th but I managed to release it on the 21st.
However for many of you behind New Zealand, it's probably still the 20th. Either way, usaully I'm a month
or two out from my release dates but this time everything went smoothly! I'm really happy how this turned
out and it's a big step up from any of the demos I've released. As well as the game, I've added a cheats
page for my games. Currently I've only added cheat codes for Paper Cuts. I know that Pacman: NE and Burger
Hunt have cheats as well but I can't remember them. I'll add them when I find out.
Paper Cuts Update and New WIP!
@ 4:48 p.m. 9/04/2007
For the last wee while, I've been working on another scrolling shooter named Hecka Fresh. You can
find more information about it at the WIP page. I'm still working on Paper Cuts although it's getting
a bit of an overhaul. Expect the game to be finished this month.
New Blog, Guestbook and Photo Gallery!
@ 12:53 a.m. 29/01/2007
G'day! I've just added a blog (Wordpress) and a photo gallery (Coppermine) to the website. This is
mainly for those interested in my personal life such as friends but you are free to view as well. I also
finally updated the Viper Guestbook to the newest version. I had to remove the previous entries to
ensure no conflict occured. The best new feature is the image verification, which means hopefully no more
guestbook spam! Also, there has been absolutely no further progress on Paper Cuts and I can't see myself
getting back into it for awhile. Hang tight that though, I'll finish it eventually.
Paper Cuts Demo 2 Released!
@ 11:25 p.m. 27/11/2006
The second demo of Paper Cuts has been released. There is now more action early on in the game and
a new level for you to get through. Other additions include some bug fixes and two new weapon upgrades.
The next demo will take a little while to be released as I try to finish off the school year.
New WIP!
@ 7:49 p.m. 23/11/2006
I'm in the process of creating another game, a scrolling shooter called Paper Cuts. I've released a
demo on the WIP page so go check it out!
Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through the Strip...
@ 1:06 p.m. 27/09/2006
To all those damn spam bots, get out of my site! Thanks. Anyway I added some spam protection to the
site so let's hope it works. Mainly though this post is just to say I'm still kicking round.
Various Minor Site Updates!
@ 10:42 p.m. 28/04/2006
First of all I've added two new affiliates, Game Maker &
Talents and Radnom Games. Secondly I've fixed both
the about contact form and the affiliation page. Third, added some more useful links to the links page.
And finally, added a bit more information to the games page about Deluxe Snake and Ultimate Burger
Hunt.
Site Maintenance!
@ 10:43 p.m. 15/04/2006
First of all I've removed all the affiliates who weren't linking to my site or sites that were no
longer active. Secondly all the files are now locally hosted so as long as this site is up, you should
be able to download any file. I still have mirrors from
64Digits and
Rocket-Soft up so you can still
use them if perhaps my server is a little slow or you can't download them for some reason. Finally,
I've cleaned up the large amount of guestbook spam.
Deluxe Snake Completed!
@ 12:24 a.m. 6/02/2006
I've just completed one of my WIP's, Deluxe Snake! For more information, screenshots and download
link for Deluxe Snake, hop over to the
Game's page. I hope you enjoy the
game. In other news we now have a new affiliate, MM Enterprises.
New WIP!
@ 2:35 a.m. 27/01/2006
After slowly becoming more and more frustrated with my Pacman game, I've decided to take a break
from the game and try something else. The game is Deluxe Snake, a remake of the classic game Snake.
I've already released a demo so go check out some screenshots and get the demo from the WIPs page.
Added My Personal Site and Blog!
@ 12:19 a.m. 25/01/2006
Using the Xoops content management system, I've created my own
personal page where you'll find the likes of my blog, information about me, links, games and software
I recommend. You can find the link to it under the "Creations" section of the menu.
Freeze and Draw Example!
@ 2:23 a.m. 19/01/2006
Wow! Two updates in four hours. Anyway I made this for a guy awhile ago but didn't post
it because I hadn't commented it. This freeze and draw example can act as a pause game function
for your game but the cool thing about it is that you can easily create in-game pause menus, just
how you'd create a normal sort of menu. Unlike most pause scripts, this allows one object to remain
active.
More affiliates, an Example and Domain Fixed!
@ 10:23 p.m. 18/01/2006
Five affiliates have joined with us since the last update. Once you're done with us, go give
them a visit! I've also added a very simple example to the Game Maker section which counts down a
specified amount of seconds, draws the amount of seconds left and does something whent the time
reaches zero. Also my host has migrated so now everyone should be able to access our site through
the mediocre.hoogetech.com domain.
Affiliates and Pacman Update!
@ 11:22 p.m. 6/01/2006
We now have two new affiliates, Radnom Games and Hawk-Ware so why don't you go give there site a
click? I've also updated the WIP page of Pacman where you'll learn that hopefully I'll be releasing a
demo this month and you can also view a screenshot of the title screen of the game.
Site Features!
@ 1:40 a.m. 23/12/2005
Firebird continues to show his great support for the
site by providing us with more PHP scripts. We now have contact forms and statistics up. You can also
expect a Link Share feature coming in a few days.
Guestbook Installed!
@ 8:31 p.m. 22/12/2005
I installed the ViPER Guestbook Script as a way of
leaving comments, suggestions or whatever you want.
Games, Links, Conversions and More!
@ 1:55 a.m. 22/12/2005
A lot of updates this time round. First of all we have gone back to
Hoogetech hosting as the admin over there has provided
us with a temporary IP direction. Thanks to the UNI.CC Network, you
still only need to remember the mediocre.uni.cc address. In other general site news, I have
redesigned the site a little. Now links are easily identified, the font is now smaller and
the whole page is now larger in width.
As for the additions, I've added two games to the games page. Don't get to excited if you're a Game Maker user as they are both games I made in 2002 when I was new to Game Maker. Everyone else though will hopefully enjoy the games. I've also converted the Drag and Drop Icons to GML tutorial to HTML so those without Acrobat Reader can view it. Last of all, I've updated the links page.

New Tutorial!
@ 10:43 a.m. 17/12/2005
I've posted Ablach Blackrat's excellent Drag and Drop Icons to GML tutorial. Although
I will not usaully post other people's Game Maker examples and tutorials, I make an exception
for this as I feel it is a really good reference for those just starting to convert to GML. I
was also going to do this myself but I felt there was no point as Ablach Blackrat had done such
a great job.
New Example!
@ 1:57 a.m. 17/12/2005
Added a Game Maker example that shows you how to create menus. Two examples are included in
the zip: one a mouse based menu while the other is a keyboard based menu.
We're Back!
@ 6:05 p.m. 15/12/2005
Because of DNS problems with Hoogetech, we have again changed host this time to
Kawanda.NET. As I preferred the Hoogetech services, this will only be
the new permanent host if Hoogetech does not solve their DNS problems.
PHP Coded!
@ 3:05 p.m. 9/12/2005
Firebird has converted portions of the site to
PHP. This will make it easier for me to update and will mean more features and content for you in
the long run. Thanks a lot Firebird! You would have also noticed our host has changed to
Hoogetech as our previous host did not support PHP.
Affiliation and Links!
@ 6:54 p.m. 6/12/2005
Fixed the given code in the affiliation section. Previously it linked to a relative
image. Also all links from the old site and many more are up. All are sites that I
recommend and I either visit them often myself or feel they would be useful to others.
New Design!
@ 11:50 p.m. 1/12/2005
I've completed a new design of the site and it now relies completely on CSS for the layout.
If the site doesn't appear to be working in your browser correctly, please contact me with
your browser and version and I'll try to solve the problem.
